Day  of the dead celebrations consist of vigils and visits to cementeries where offerings of flowers and traditional food are brougth to the deacased.

  The Day of the Dead in Ecuador ,is celebrate from indigenous customs traditionally on this day friends and family often exchange  the guaguas or bread dolls 

its goal is to pray and honor loved ones  who are no longer present in life .In this   celebraition of the day of the dead  it is customary to drink colada morada and guagua de pan ,these foods have a meaning  which is 

Colada morada: 

the purple colada represents and evokes the blood of the deceased 











Guagua de pan :

 The day of the dead is tradition in ecuador . This festival began in Europe in the tewlfh century 13  
                             

Food

The most traditional meals are colada plus guagua de pan 
purple colada is made of : Its ingredients such as purple  corn  flour , mortiño, blackberry   or sangorache  strawberry , pineaple , babaco, naranjilla , lemon verbena , orange , leaves , ishpingo , cin namon and  sweet pepper  make this  drink a pleasure  for the palate with    nutritional richness importan 

guaguas de pan : 
The guaguas de pan are sweet breads in the sape of babies or dolls

In is tradition no type of miusic  is hear but  researching on the internet I found this miusic , This type of miusic is heard more in mexico
